It’s been an exciting time at Youth Odyssey as we’ve just wrapped up our summer season. Now we get to welcome our newest team member! Vincent is no stranger to the Coastal Bend area and we are so excited to have him on our team. He comes to us with a unique background and we can’t wait to see him interact with our youth. We’d really appreciate everyone taking some time to welcome Vincent into the Youth Odyssey family!
“The experience I gained from Youth Odyssey impacted my life and who I am today.”
Vincent was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and raised in Aransas Pass, Texas. His outdoor experience was fairly limited growing up, but that didn’t stop him from enjoying every second of any outdoor family adventure.
As a junior high student, he participated in Youth Odyssey’s Backpacking Camp. Participating in the program gave him a whole new perspective on the outdoor world, and he learned so much about himself.
He attended Stephen F. Austin State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Forestry this past May. His degree had an emphasis in Human Dimensions in Natural Resources.
During college, he spent most of his time outdoors. He was often outside doing lab work, or hammocking under the beautiful pines of East Texas. These experiences caused him to become even more passionate about having a career in the outdoors. He also dedicated time to volunteering with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. During this past year he was an intern with Goose Island State Park.
Let’s All Welcome Vincent!
Vincent is CPR/First Aid certified and also holds a NASP Basic Archery Instructor certification. He looks forward to learning more about outdoor education and its impact on our youth’s lives. Vincent’s passion for the outdoors and educating others fits right in line with Youth Odyssey’s mission and we can’t wait to see how he impacts the lives of our youth! Make sure you head to our Facebook Page or Instagram where you can wish our newest team member, Vincent, a warm welcome into the Youth Odyssey family!
