Meet Kristen!!

Youth Odyssey is excited to welcome our newest team member of our staff. Kristen is new to the area, but comes to us with wisdom and the eagerness to start working with our youth. We would appreciate  everyone taking some time to welcome Kristen into the Coastal Bend, and the Youth Odyssey family.

Kristen was born in Louisiana but has spent the majority of her life living in Tomball, Texas. She spent most of her time as a kid playing outdoors with her two sisters and climbing trees. Throughout high school, she spent her summers going to TBarM Camp Travis. It was there where she first discovered her love for outdoor adventure. Kristen attended Baylor University, where she received a Bachelors of Science in Education in Health Science Studies and a minor in business administration. In her last two years of college, she spent almost every weekend visiting her sister in Austin. There, was where she fell in love with hiking and exploring the parks around the city.

During her senior year, she registered for the introduction to rock climbing course at Baylor. It has since become her favorite hobby. Kristen also worked in a physical therapy clinic shortly after graduation. There she became aware of just how passionate she is about helping and educating others. She is CPR/First Aid certified and looking forward to learning more about wilderness first aid. Kristen’s favorite hobbies include spending time in nature, yoga, reading, learning about wildlife, and spending quality time with friends. Her hope is to be able to put everything, and see how she can inspire the youth around her.

Kristen is sure to fit right in with Youth Odyssey and the mission to help the youth in our programs. Paired with the passion for the outdoors, Kristen will learn how to impact the youth Youth Odyssey works with. As Kristen starts to make herself a home here with us, it would be greatly appreciated if everyone took time to welcome her.
