It’s that time of year again! The Day of Giving season is upon us! With that being said, let’s talk about what the Day of Giving is and how it works. Most importantly, we will talk about how to get involved!
Here is Some Background Information!
The Coastal Bend Day of Giving (CBDG) is 24-hour online giving event where matching donors will double, dollar-for-dollar what local non profits raise up to $17,500, from the community. If a non profit raises $17,500, they will receive an additional $17,500 from the Coastal Bend Day of Giving! This year is the tenth anniversary of the Coastal Bend Day of Giving and it will be held on November 13th, 2018. Let's make it one for the books!
How Do I Get Involved?
There are two ways to donate. You can pre-schedule your donation to Youth Odyssey through a link that will come available a week and a half prior to the event, November 4th. The second way to donate is to visit the site that day. The easier route would be to pre-schedule, if you ask me, because then I don’t have to think about it come the day of.
What is Youth Odyssey Doing with Your Donations?
All donations raised for Youth Odyssey on the Day of Giving will go straight to our programs for at risk youth. Whether it is funding after school programs, housing programs, or camping trip, all your money will be put towards great use!
Final Thoughts
We cannot wait to see how the community pulls together to help us reach our goal of $50,000.00. Our donors are the backbone of Youth Odyssey. All kids need is someone who believes in them; and by supporting Youth Odyssey, you are giving kids that support system. Helping them reach their full potential. We must believe in our youth until they can believe in themselves. So mark your calendars!
