What a great week we’ve been having here at Youth Odyssey! This year’s Coastal Bend Day of Giving was a complete success and we blew last year’s numbers out of the water. With your help, we met our match and EXCEEDED our overall goal of $40,000! After all was said and done, we raised $42,617.55! THAT’S AMAZING! Especially considering that last year we raised $34,133.16 (that means that we raised $8,484.39 more than last year…crazy).
Let’s Break It Down…
This was our second year on the Coastal Bend Day of Giving and we knew exactly what we needed to do. We hit the ground running and had a great social media presence through end of October and into early November. We sent out newsletters and talked to anyone who would listen about the Day of Giving. It’s really cool to see all that hard work pay off, but one of the coolest things about yesterday was getting to see how many people out there believe in us and what we do here (120 donors to be exact)! Several of those 120 had never donated to us before, but we had a lot of return donors as well.
All the money we raised on the Day of Giving is going straight to supporting kids in our programs. It will give them the opportunity to attend our after school programs, visit our ropes course or go on a camping trip with us. We are so excited to expand our reach with these funds and work with more youth than ever before.
So what I really want to say is, THANK YOU! We couldn’t have done it with out you.
