Last Thursday, March 9th, Youth Odyssey teamed up with Chipotle Mexican Grill for a night of profit sharing and yummy food. Though the weather was dreary and rainy outside, inside Chipotle was a warm and friendly environment.
When I entered I saw some of our board members there with their friends, our executive director there with her friends and family and our program director as well. All were laughing and enjoying the company and food that Chipotle helped bring together.
Having the profit share start at 5pm and me not getting off work until 6pm, I wasn’t sure what the turnout had been before I got there but they seemed to be in the middle of a rush when I arrived. After loading up my tray with food and a drink I joined the rest of the groups and proceeded to eat, drink, and be merry.
I ended up heading out at around 8:30pm and we still had guests coming in to show their support. Together, with the help of friends and family, and braving the elements, we ended up raising just under $300 for our summer camps and programs! As our first profit share with Chipotle we weren’t really sure what to expect but the environment was great as was the service and we are thankful that we were able to raise additional funds for our summer season.
I want to thank everyone who joined us for dinner last Thursday and Chipotle for hosting us, who knows, maybe we’ll find ourselves at Chipotle again for another profit share!
