Alright everybody, get excited and spread the word that Youth Odyssey is on the Coastal Bend Day of Giving for the first time EVER this year! We are extremely happy and excited for this opportunity!
What is the Coastal Bend Day of Giving you may be asking? Well, the Coastal Bend Day of Giving is a 24-hour online fundraiser put on by the Coastal Bend Community Foundation. The Foundation spends the year gathering donations to be distributed evenly among a host of other nonprofits on the “Day of Giving.” This year, donors have pledged $725,000 in matching funds for one big day of giving on November 15, 2016. Through this “Day of Giving,” every donation received from the community will be matched/doubled, up to $16,111.00 per nonprofit.
This year the Coastal Bend has 45 local nonprofits that will have the opportunity to participate in this 24-hour event, and YOUTH ODYSSEY IS ONE OF THEM! Our goal is to raise the match amount of $16,111 so we can receive the maximum amount of $32,222 on the Day of Giving. But to do this we your help. Not everyone knows about the Day of Giving, and even less know about Youth Odyssey. So, by spreading the word and being an ambassador for Youth Odyssey we hope to blow our goal out of the water!

The actual Day of Giving is going to be on November 15, 2016 and will be a fundraising blitz for 24 hours. The max the Coastal Bend Community Foundation matches is $16,111 but for anything else we raise above that amount, goes straight to us!
If you are unable to get to a computer or smart device on the 15th you can always place early donations starting on November 6th and going through to the Day of Giving. Please spread the word and help #SupportYO in our first year of participation in the Coastal Bend Day of Giving. We want to let the Coastal Bend Community Foundation know that they made the right choice in adding us to their Day of Giving this year.
So please help us spread the word and pledge to give, The minimum donation is $10 so anyone can help us reach our goal and, on the Day of Giving, your donation will doubled so that $10 becomes $20; or that $500 becomes $1000!
