Help us welcome Emily to our team!

Please everyone help me welcome out newest addition to the team. Eager to get started on our current projects, Emily has already begun to adjust to life in the Coastal Bend. Emily's role here at Youth Odyssey will be our new Program Director. She has great experience in both the outdoors and outdoor education as well. We are excited to see the impact she will be making in our youth.

Emily was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She gained her love for experiential education and facilitation through a challenge course in Oklahoma. Emily got her bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Leadership Ministry at John Brown University. For three summers in college, she worked for the Excursions Program at Eagle Lake Camps in Colorado Springs. In her college years, she enjoyed climbing, biking and hiking all over Northwest Arkansas and Colorado.

Emily spent the last two years getting her masters degree in Outdoor Adventure Leadership through Wheaton College. During the masters program, Emily was the Wilderness Tripping Coordinator at HoneyRock, Wheaton College’s Outdoor Center for Leadership Development. While in Wisconsin, she loved getting to cross country and downhill ski. Emily is also a Wilderness First Responder and PCIA Top Rope Instructor certified.

In her free time, Emily loves to be with people. She enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and volleyball whenever she gets the chance.

We are confident that Emily will find a new home here with Youth Odyssey. And that she will continue to inspire our youth with her outdoor experience and passion for youth development. We are also very confident in our programming plan for the summer! For updates on camps and upcoming programs, please visit our website.
