VOLUNTEERS
Do you like to camp? Hike, and backpack?
Do you want to make a difference in the life of a young person?

Volunteers are essential in making our Adventure Trips possible. They provide youth with mentoring opportunities and adult role models. Volunteers assist staff in all trip activities and play an active part in the facilitation of programming.

Volunteers come from all over to help with Youth Odyssey. In order to get involved, volunteers do not need to have past experience. Each volunteer experience is set up to teach volunteers as they encounter new challenges alongside the youth. What does it take to volunteer on an Adventure Wilderness Trip? Its Easy! All you need are the following:

• At least 18 years old
• Need a current background check
• Volunteer Training Ability to handle some rigorous physical activities
• Evidence of fitness and a release from a health care practitioner if a health condition is present
• Desire to make the difference in the life of a young person

Youth Odyssey has many opportunities for you to volunteer:

• Mentoring during Adventure Wilderness Trips, Ropes Courses, and Kayaking
• Behind the scenes with the Board Members
• And the many fundraising activities we put on throughout the year
